The Challenge
Patients often leave clinics overwhelmed by medical jargon and unclear instructions. Finding reliable, easy-to-understand health information online is a frustrating trawl through scattered, often untrustworthy sources. This knowledge gap can lead to poor adherence to treatment plans, increased anxiety, and preventable health complications. Medsy aimed to bridge this gap by providing a trusted, accessible mobile companion.
Our Approach
Conducted a diary study with 18 patients to understand daily health information challenges.
Developed a content taxonomy and plain-language guidelines for accessible medical information.
Created an atomic design system supporting dark/light modes for consistent UI across platforms.
Built a React-Native prototype with Firebase authentication for user testing and investor demos.
